Bakersfield ASPA Luncheon: Thursday, August 26th, 2010
Kern ASPA invites you to attend our monthly luncheon at Don Perico's restaurant on August 26. Guest speakers will be Steve Teglia, Administrative Analyst and acting HR Director for the City of Bakersfield, and Todd Dickson, President of the Bakersfield Police Officer's Association. 2010 Fall BBQ Fund Raiser!
ASPA will host its 2010 Fall BBQ Fund Raiser from 6-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 8th at Coconut Joe's Private Beach Club, with all proceeds benefitting public administration students. Come enjoy a choice dinner of chicken, tri-tip, beans, salad and roll, along with the chance to win great door prizes and a 50/50 cash drawing! Get to know your counterparts across agencies and generally have a great time. Tickets are just $40 each and available here.
National ASPA Membership
Kern County ASPA has now become affiliated with National ASPA! This allows our local chapter to leverage the resources of National ASPA and grants the benefits of being a 501(C)3. As part of this change our members will need to register with National ASPA to maintain their membership with ASPA as we will no longer be handling ASPA membership at the local level. provide fresh ideas and a new perspective. Help make a difference in the services our organization offers!
The ASPA Council meets on the first Thursday of the month at 12:00 at the Dream Center, 1212 18th
Street in the upstairs conference room. These are open meetings and members are welcome to attend.
